Products & Services
Austin & McLean manufacture and supply rope assemblies and hardware to military and commercial specifications. Our workshop facilities include Talurit Press machines, fusing/tapering & cutting machines and test beds. We have the in-house expertise to hand splice fibre and wire ropes and are approved assault course and ropework specialists.

In addition to lifting equipment we are able to manufacture all Rigging Warrant items for RN Warships and RFAs, plus supply fall arrest equipment and height safety systems, firefighting and DC equipment, navigational, janitorial and husbandry equipment to military or alternative commercial specifications. The majority of items with NATO Stock Numbers can be sourced.

Our LEEA qualified engineers carry out statutory examinations and repair and maintenance services on cranes and lifting equipment. We also have dedicated engineers specialising in industrial door and height safety services.

Training on the safe use and inspection of lifting and fall arrest equipment is available and our training department offer a flexible service including customised courses delivered at a venue of your choice.

Advice & Guidance
Our Defence Business Department is managed by Jim Plymsol who has many years experience working within the Defence Industry and has ready access to relevant databases, publications, records and drawings.

Ordering
Orders can be placed with us electronically, by fax, telephone or post. We accept Government Payment Cards and most major Credit/Debit Cards. MOD640 payments are routinely handled in support of direct MOD contracts and orders.
