About Austin & McLean
Austin & McLean provides specialist engineering services for lifting equipment, industrial doors and height safety access for a broad range of customers in the UK.
Founded in 1937 by brothers, William and Harold Austin, and inspired by the newly laid down factories act of the same year, Austin & McLean was developed into a specialist engineering company for the testing and inspecting of commercial lifting equipment.
Still owned and run by the Austin family, the company has seen many changes over the years; not least the launch of the Austin & McLean Group in 2011. Established to encompass Austin & McLean Engineering Services, and sister company, AM Defence & Marine Services, the Group represents the growing successes of the last 75 years.
Sharing in the group ethos, Austin & McLean seeks to deliver the highest levels of service through genuine customer focus, quality of engineering and materials, safety, flexibility and competitiveness.
